Garmin nuvi 660 4.3-Inch Widescreen Bluetooth Portable GPS Navigator

REVIEW:
This is the first GPS unit I owned and I am so pleased. After consulting with friends who have owned multiple GPS units and reading various reviews, this is one of the nicest, feature-packed, and most importantly, accurate unit on the market. Just this morning, I opted to take a longer route to get to the highway because the street I usually take was under construction. I've driven sparingly on that alternate route for 4 years and never realized there was a small intersecting street in a business district I can cut through to get to the highway more quickly. The Nuvi 660 pointed that out, basically shaving off over a mile in distance, traffic congestion, and plenty of frustration.

GPS owners tell me having one will change my life... I'm starting to believe.

To clarify on another review: It DOES come with 6 million POIs... for free. It's located under the subcategory of "Where to?" in the "Food, Hotels..." icon.

Product review (and warning for installation): Thule 866 Escape II Rooftop Cargo Bag

This is an awesome bag. Very well constructed. However, I had to place it directly on my roof and attach it to the side rails. As the bag slid back (just a couple inches), the bottom of the bag scratched my roof a bit, especially on my way back as I didn't have an opportunity to clean it before I mounted the bag back on the roof and there were a couple dead bugs up there from sitting outside for days. Be careful if you care about the paint on your car's roof getting scratched. Otherwise, very good product at a very reasonable price.

By the way, I fit 4 adult sleeping bags, two large air mattresses (deflated), two medium sized duffles and 4 pillows in this thing. Great capacity.

Review: The SportRack model number: A90275

The SportRack was very easy to mount on the Sequoia, and feels pretty sturdy (and watertight). Absolutely no wind noise or rattling could be heard inside the vehicle at 75 MPH. I bought it because the width and height makes it better for carrying family stuff than comparable size Thule or Yakima boxes, though it's not long enough for skis. Low price is a huge bonus. I also like that it opens from the back instead of the side, since on my tall vehicle the easiest way to reach the box is standing on the rear bumper. I looked at the big name boxes, and I can't see how they are worth 2.5x as much.
